Located on the shaded fringe of the island is Xugana Island Lodge. This rustic lodge, which was once visited by Prince Charles is widely accepted as being the most spectacular permanent water site on the Okavango Delta. The swimming pool is set in the tropical gardens which overlooks the lagoon, the prefect place to relax in the hot Africa sun whilst enjoying a cooling drink. Game viewing activities here take place by boat on the river, lagoons and channels that surround the lodges. The lounge bar and restaurant are set under African Mangosteen and Ebony tree canopy in open sided thatch structures, overlooking the lagoon. Dining here is a pleasure, all diets are catered for and the choice is enormous, the open air boma offers al fresco dining on the beautifully furnished terrace that overlooks the waters of the Okavango Delta. The bird watching opportunities from this lodge are amazing, why not take a guided walk with the local naturalist, or an island walk?
