The Samburu Game Lodge

Situated on the Western bank of the Ewaso Nyro river set in 10 acres of pristine riverine forest lies The Samburu Game Lodge; this purpose built lodge blends in perfectly with the natural environment in the arid and hot fringes of Kenya's vast Northern Frontier District in Samburu National Park.

Accommodation at The Samburu Game Lodge:
The 61 cottages, rooms and suites at the Samburu Game Lodge are beautifully decorated using exquisite fabrics and materials to create a peaceful and serene environment. All rooms are en-suite, some of which have baths. All rooms have private balconies offering a beautiful view over the river.
The Samburu Game Lodge can accommodate disabled guests in their specially adapted room, families are most welcome and the Lodge has several family rooms available.

Bars & Restaurants at The Samburu Game Lodge:
The Lokrokushu restaurant can accommodate 120 guests and has a distinctly African in feel. The restaurant overlooks the Uaaso Nyiro river and diners can enjoy the fabulous view while being entertained by the resident Samburu flute player.
The Crocodile bar offers drinks with an extra twist! The bar is level with the riverbank allowing perfect sightings of crocodiles, monitor lizards as well as elephants and leopards if you are lucky! At sunset each day the Lodge throw out bait to attract the crocodiles so guests can enjoy close sightings but in safe conditions.
The Vulturine bar is open throughout the day and into the evening and overlooks the river. The decor of the bar is in keeping with Samburu’s fantastic bird life.
The Swimming Pool Bar serves a selection of soft and alcoholic drinks and snacks are available throughout the day.

Facilities at The Samburu Lodge:
Enjoy traditional dancing displays by Samburu men and women dressed in traditional costume. Displays take place most afternoons at 14:30.
Learn about the local wildlife by joining a guided bird walk, 10:00 every day with the resident naturalist.
Cool off after an exciting game drive in the shaded swimming pool. There is also a Jacuzzi and game viewing deck overlooking the park.
