This safari offers an incredible journey into the more remote parts of Samburu and the Mara, and includes unique lodges with great character inspired by travellers of old.

On arrival in Kenya you will stay in Giraffe Manor which is thirty minutes from the centre of Nairobi and surrounded by 140 acres of its own park and forest. Here you can feed and photograph giraffes at close range.

The next stop is the delightful Elephant Bedroom Camp in Samburu. It is a small and exclusive camp of 12 luxury tents - all furnished in rustic African style. Herds of elephants, prides of lions or the solitary leopard amongst other animals are close by, providing excellent game viewing.

Onto the Masai Mara for three nights at Ol Seki Mara Camp.

DAY 1 DAILY HEATHROW - NAIROBI
Fly from Heathrow overnight to Nairobi.

DAY 2 NAIROBI
On arrival transfer to your hotel for a day at leisure. The Giraffe Manor is an elegant, personally hosted small and exclusive hotel, famous for its resident herd of giraffes.

DAY 3 SAMBURU
Fly by light aircraft to Samburu National Reserve (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes). After lunch at the Camp enjoy a late afternoon game drive. Elephant Bedroom Camp has twelve tents set on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River.

DAY 4 SAMBURU
Early morning and late afternoon game drives enable you to see wildlife unique to this arid, yet beautiful part of Kenya.

DAY 5 MASAI MARA
Fly by light aircraft to Masai Mara Game Reserve (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes). Enjoy a late afternoon game drive in the reserve which is the northern extension of the Serengeti ecosystem. At Ol Seki Mara, there are six Nina Tents. Each tent is luxurious and boasts simple modern architecture.

DAY 6 MASAI MARA
Take an early morning balloon safari over the Mara followed by a 'bubbly' bush breakfast (optional extra) or a game drive followed by breakfast at the camp. Rest of the morning at leisure. After lunch enjoy a late afternoon game drive.

DAY 7 MASAI MARA
Early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the camp. Rest of the morning at leisure. After lunch enjoy a late afternoon game drive.

DAY 8 EXTENSION OR HEATHROW
Fly by light aircraft to Nairobi (approximately 1 hour). Proceed with your chosen extension or return to Heathrow.
