Loisaba is situated on the border of Laikipia & Kenya's rugged Northern Frontier District and only a few miles from the equator. A working cattle farm made entirely from handcrafted materials, is surrounded by untamed bush, boasting views that extend of Mount Kenya, the Lolldaiga Hills and the Mathews Range. This private game ranch boasting a first-class spa revitalises the soul, revives the mind and rejuvenates the body. The Loisaba Lodge is situated at the edge of an escarpment overlooking the Laikipia Plateau. Just twenty minutes from Loisaba Lodge are the 'Loisaba Star Beds', which offers guests a unique opportunity to sleep under the stars.  

Accommodation at Loisaba:
Perched high on the plateau looking out towards Mount Kenya, built from local timber and stone with a thatched roof are the cottages. Each of the 7 cottages have large French Windows that open onto a private viewing deck which over looks the watering hole. The House boasts the service of its own staff, cars and drivers. Completely independent of the lodge, the self-contained house is built on the edge of the escarpment. The architecture and location of the house is breathtaking, offering its own game drive vehicle and private cliff-top pool. This is the ultimate hideaway for family and friends that are looking for something unique.  Boasting 2 Bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin (convertible to double) both with en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower. The Cottage is situated some 9kms from the main lodge. Set back from the escarpment in tropical gardens and a large private swimming pool; the Cottage has three double en-suite rooms with a shower and one double/twin room with access to large bathroom via an external staircase. The cottage is completely self contained and features its own dedicated guide and exclusive use of a custom game drive vehicle. Guests staying at The House and The Cottage have full use of all the lodge facilities and activities.

Loisaba Star Beds are unique to Loisaba, there are two sets of Loisaba Star Beds which are located in two different areas. The first ones built are located among the kopje of rocks in one of the Eastern valleys overlooking the 'Kiboko' watering hole. The second set are called 'Koija' and are located further south, cantilevered over the Ewaso Nyiro River, these Star Beds are reached by footbridge from the opposite bank. Each Star Bed is on a handcrafted wooden raised platform, which is partially covered with a thatched roof. Each of the handmade "Mukokoteni" (uniquely designed bed on wheels), can either be pushed out onto the open deck for a night under the stars or left under the thatched roof.  All the four-poster beds come complete with insect netting and are reached by foot, horse, camel or vehicle. 

Food is prepared in traditional camp kitchen, Barbeque style. 
Both the Kiboko and Koija Star Beds comprise of two double sleeping platforms and one twin platform. Each double is designed for 1 or 2 people and the family platform accommodates 4 people. Each Star Bed is en-suite and has a large camp-style shower and the f The locations have been carefully chosen to ensure each guest has complete privacy.

Facilities at Loisaba:
Loisaba is an adventurers dream, with a wealth of activities such as walking safaris, camel and horseback riding through the bush, mountain biking down the escarpment or a drive through the canyons of the two rivers that span the property, there really is something for everyone. You may chose to spend an hour zipping through the bush on a quad bike, in aid of "Quads for Classrooms" Loisaba are helping the local community build a local school. Another exhilarating experience that is available is, rafting sections of the Ewaso Nyiro and Ng'are Narok rivers which flow through Loisaba. Charges apply.
Loisaba includes day and night game drive and walking safaris. Other facilities include a swimming pool with poolside bar, tennis court and croquet. Loisaba has a stunning dining room that offers views over the reserve, with a variety of cuisine of local delicacies to international cuisine, every palet is catered for.
