The Le Canonnier Mauritius

Le Canonnier is a friendly and welcoming resort hotel set on a historic peninsula which is home to an ancient lighthouse, the ruins of an old fortress and several old cannons, but it’s the hospitable and relaxed Mauritian atmosphere that makes this a great Mauritius hotel choice.

The site looks over the Indian Ocean towards a number of islets, all of the rooms have fresh contemporary Mauritian interiors and the gardens and beach make the most of its peninsula setting. You are also just a short drive away from the entertainment and shops found in Grand Baie.

The rooms at Le Canonnier are beautifully appointed and furnished with neutral colours and natural woods. All of the rooms overlook the tropical gardens or the Indian Ocean.
All rooms apartments and suites include: Private bathroom with bathtub (no bathtub in Standard Rooms), shower and W.C, minibar, safe, hairdryer, international direct dialling telephone, television with satellite channels, complimentary tea & coffee facilities.

Accommodation choices include 48 standard rooms (maximum 2 adults + 1 child), 62 superior rooms (maximum 2 adults +1 child), 4 Honeymoon suites (maximum 1 adult) and 25 2 bedroomed family apartments (maximum 2 adults + 3 children).

Facilities at Le Canonnier Hotel
Le Canonnier offers 3 floodlit tennis courts, table tennis, volley ball, bocciball and archery which are all complimentary for guests. Mountain bikes are also available for hire. The hotel has a Wellness centre for massage therapy but does not have a gym, however, guests are free to use the facilities at Le Mauricia - a 5 minute taxi ride from the hotel.
Gentle, inviting waters make Mauritius a perfect destination for water activities - waterskiing, windsurfing, sailing, glass bottom boat trips, snorkelling trips, kayaks and pedal boats are all complimentary for guests. The hotel also offers free weekly group sailing and windsurfing lessons.

Le Canonnier has an on-site PADI affiliated Dive Centre with a comprehensive diving programme. There are a number of decent dive sites within 20 minutes boat ride of the hotel.

Dining at Le Canonnier
Le Canonnier offers dining at two superb restaurants and has a great bar which serves snacks through the day. Guest also have the chance to interdine at the restaurants at Le Mauricia although from time to time these restaurants may be for the sole use of Le Mauricia guests.
Dress Code: During the daytime the dress code is casual here so pretty much anything goes, however during the evening the restaurants prefer guests to be smart-casual so shirts and trousers for the men but don't worry no jackets and ties are needed!

Bob Marlin Mini Club
All Beachcomber hotels have a free Bob Marlin Mini Club which welcomes children aged 3 - 12. Le Canonnier's miniclub is open from 9am - 9pm, 7 days a week and is housed in an ancient lighthouse.
The clubs are run by qualified professionals who provide fun and educational indoor and outdoor activities to keep your little ones entertained and happy.
Every day there is a set activities programme which you can dip in and out of, if you also want to spend some family time together during the day.
