The Kenya Royal Safari
The 7 night Kenya Royal Safari is a safari of distinction. Fit for royalty, you will visit some of Kenya's finest game reserves and enjoying some of Kenya's finest lodges and camps. We use light aircraft flights to and from the Masai Mara, to make short work of the journey, leaving more time to view the game. The first five nights of the safari are travelling by road in your own
exclusive safari vehicle, ensuring a private experience, ideal for honeymooners and families alike.
Sweetwaters Camp is situated in Ol Pejeta, a private conservation area in the extensive plains on Mount Kenya, surrounded by forests that border the Ewaso Nyiro River. Home to all of the ‘Big Five' (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard), the conservancy has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park. The conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species.
Samburu in the North of Kenya is home to the Big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo), here you will also find the rarer species such as the Grevy's Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe and Blue Legged Somali Ostrich, species rarely seen elsewhere in East Africa. Dotted along the banks of the hippo and crocodile filled Ewaso Nyiro River you will find The Ashnil Samburu Camp, where the luxury tents offer stunning views over the plains and the river which runs through the heart of the reserve. Home to 'The Secret Lives of Elephants' Samburu is paradise for those searching for a variety of game in stunning surroundings.
Next stop is Mount Kenya; renowned for its incredible bird life and plains game, here you will spend the night at Serena Mountain Lodge; the only tree hotel ever to be built on the slopes of this legendary mountains. Offering stunning views from the many viewing platforms which overlook watering holes, here you will have the opportunity to join a guided nature walk (weather permitting).
Finally, this safari finishes with two nights the magnificent Masai Mara, famed for its vast numbers of plains game, the spectacular big cats and the annual Great Migration. The Fairmont Mara Safari Club sits on an ox-bow bend of the River Mara, boasting an excellent base from which to discover the Masai Mara. *we are unable to guarantee a window seat in the Masai Mara, as game drives are conducted in the camps own vehicles*
