This 4-day safari takes you on a tour of Parc National de Volcans. From Nairobi fly to Kigali and then experience a journey through the beautiful terraced hillside that characterises much of Rwanda's landscape. Climb the base of the awesome Virunga volcanoes.

Described as 'the land of a thousand hills' Rwanda is a land of great diversity and beauty, in the far Northwest of the country lies Parc des Volcans where the Gorillas can be seen in their natural habitat at very close range. Protected by the steep slopes of the Virungas, part of a magnificent mountain range Parc Des Volcans is home to one third of the world's population of endangered mountain gorillas. The rich ecosystem embraces the open grassland, bamboo forests and swamplands, an exhilarating trek with experienced trackers brings you to the foothills of the Virungas which offers stunning views in all directions.

Led by experienced trackers who have spent their lives in these areas when you enter the national park, a mysterious rainforest alive with the chattering of the rare golden monkey and the singing of colourful birds greets you. A Gorilla visit can be anything from a one to four hour trek through the forest and nothing can prepare you for one of the greatest experiences on earth, spending time with these gentle giants. Witness them as they go about their daily life, resting, playing, raising their young and feeding.
